Ottumwa, Iowa

In the early 1940s, Ottumwa, Iowa, was one of the wartime postings of US Naval Reserve Lieutenant Richard Milhous Nixon; in the early 1950s, it was the home of US Army Reserve Corporal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly.
The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad served Ottumwa from 1887 until 1985, with a line now operated by the Iowa, Chicago and Eastern.
